8" x 10" 100lb 300 series Bristol Smooth Surface white paper. Prismascolor, crayola and acrylic paint. For the hair and dark shadows on the background the artist used a paint brush and black paint from BIC pens to darken the tones.
"This is a picture of my Aunt Rosa, a beautiful woman who died too young. I will always remember this picture because it reminds me of a wonderful time in my life going to "El Cerrito Pelon" as a kid This picture was taken around 1983. I really enjoyed making this piece because it brought back to me beautiful memories of a time long ago.
"My aunt died in 1998 of cancer. This picture reminds me that I will never forget her."
