"I made this from a drawing I once saw in the Los Angeles Metrolink station. It has personal meaning as sometimes I feel like the frog and some other times like the bird. However, here in prison I feel more like the frog much of the time since I don't allow the prison to swallow me down.  The piece empowers me to keep moving forward even when it seems that I am all out of options.  My wish is that those who see this piece experience that same feeling of empowerment."
